
Introduction to Incident and Accident Investigation RCA Units 320 & 321
AIM
To provide candidates with the skills to investigate an incident / accident to determine the immediate, underlying and basic causes.
OBJECTIVES
At the completion of the programme delegates will be able to:
- implement effective interviewing techniques
- methodically collate and evaluate evidence
- use the evidence to identify cause of incident

PRE-COURSE WORK
Familiarisation with own company's Incident / accident reporting system and Investigation procedure. Candidates should bring a copy of their company's procedure with them when attending the course.
METHOD
The programme is highly participative throughout, based on simulated incidents and the collation of workplace investigation with group discussions in a supportive environment which maintains the correct balance of learning and enjoyment.

DURATION
Two days, 09:00 to 16:00 with breaks throughout the two days.
